2020 School Campus Closure Update

Dear Parents and Guardians,

 

We continue to appreciate your constant cooperation and patience with us at TWIS during this ever-evolving difficult period.

 

As mentioned in our prior notifications, we are trying our best to inform all of our students’ families of changes that affect the starting of the school year as soon as possible. 

With our students and community’s health and safety at the forefront of our consideration at all times, it is with this in mind that we have decided to keep Tokyo West Campus closed up until Friday 17th April.

 

We will review the current situation locally and nationally as we near the 17th April in the likelihood of further extension if necessary. 

We will dutifully inform all families of any further changes to dates if required.

 

In order to compensate for missed classes during this school closure period (7th April – 17th April), Tokyo West will provide substitute classes through May-September

 (where possible, changing Public Holiday Days to normal School Days), and scheduled classes will be shared at a later date.

In order to maximise and continue our student’s growth in learning and development, we feel this the best approach.

Please see the list below for all scheduled substitute classes dates and times. 

We are also currently looking into Online learning tools to assist during this time. We will be communicating further information to all students’ families at a later date once confirmed. 

 

In relation to School Bus and School lunch services for March, Tokyo West will happily be issuing a refund for services to subscribing students for this period.

Our accounting staff will inform you the details later.

 

If at any time you have any school wide questions or concerns, please contact the TWIS admin office (admin@tokyowest.jp) during this period.

 

We apologise for the inconvenience and hope that you support our decision in ensuring your child’s safety and health. 

We sincerely look forward to the reopening of the school campus and to once again hear the children’s laughter and voices in our hallways.
